Beautify St. Louis with Neighborhood Pride and Other Art

This idea is inspired by Atlanta's "Living Walls, the City Speaks" organization, and the recent "Shaw" painting on the NE corner of Tower Grove Ave and Shaw (see 1st image). See Living Walls, the City Speaks Facebook Page or Google Image search for example of the creative use of their walls.,+the+City+Speaks&hl=en&client=safari&tbo=d&rls=en&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=x-ukUNmFGej7ygGw_YDoBA&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAA&biw=1148&bih=582

The Metro Neighborhood

Create an annual series of events hosted by various cities and neighborhoods throughout the Metro area all tagged under the same banner. The Events would be aimed at integrating and developing a common sense of pride and ownership for the St. Louis area by nature of showcasing local talent, traditions, food, music and more to the greater metro area. These events would ultimately be aimed at providing a platform to develop a more cohesive identity within the Metro Neighborhood and a hope to accurately redefine our Identity to the region and Nation.

The Wilt/Bloom Initiative : Garden Project

The Wilt/Bloom Initiative is a non-governmental organization which concerns itself with transforming vacant spaces into usable public spaces that serve the greater good. The projects under this title will mainly involve urban agriculture, vertical farming, and community gardening, but may also include hydroponic and aquaponic projects. We are interested, not only in informing the public about how to do these things, but with helping them hands on.

An aquarium- Basically when you go to these other tier one and toer two cities there are attractions like the field museum and different art museums and also almost all of them have an aquarium. The aquariums are educational, interesting and can be used to host events as a second source of revenue.
