Hold a Contest to Compose a Romantic Song about St. Louis

Hold a contest to compose a romantic song about St. Louis, (think -- I left my heart in San Francisco)

Hold a contest to compose a romantic song about St. Louis, (think -- I left my heart in San Francisco), and then line up a crooner, such as a Michael Bublé, to sing it. And/Or seek new lyrics about St. Louis to an existing tune with St. Louis connections, such as Merry Little Christmas. This would be my entry (first few lines), sung to the tune of Merry Little Christmas as played by Kenny G at this link on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ai6UgZiK0l4 You have to listen to the youtube video when trying these alternate lyrics: Take a break and meet me in St. Louis, just to say hello, and Maybe find those feelings we had long ago, Spend a day to knock around the Paris, of America Meet me on the terrace of our favorite pub. Ride with me down the river road, ...

I guess this isn't going anywhere. Anyway, here are alternate words to Merry Little Christmas I thought up with a St. Louis theme. "Underneath the Silver Arch" Take a break and meet me in St. Louis, just to say hello, and Maybe find those feelings we had long ago, Spend a day and knock around the Paris, of America Meet me on the terrace of our favorite pub. I'll take you on a carriage ride with the sunlight in your hair We can stop for an ice cream cone 'cause the Clydesdale wouldn't care Maybe you’ll remind me of that moment when you stole my heart And maybe we’ll be whistling the Wedding March Beside the river underneath the Silver Arch

I love this idea. I think all of the adding new attractions and such to St. Louis are great, but we already have great things that people don't know about, so marketing is key, and this is a beautiful way to market. Also, it would be something to think about to have the person/people who sing this song to maybe be people who lived in Stl like Nelly, or got their start here, like Carrie Underwood.
